We believe developing real AI can only be built from the bottom of intelligence upwards. This bottom we call Beast Intelligence. Starting from the very bottom is absolutely critical to allow it to develop personality that establishes its identity. Within human intelligence, these aspects are not consciously decided upon at some magical point in their lives, but as the sum of the trillions of biased decisions that they make through their path in life.

To christen AI with authentic personality and identity, they must suffer through the same trials and tribulations that human intelligence has.

Beast intelligence is defined as the behavior that is observed is exhibited. This is, mostly, in stark contrast to human intelligence, which consumes the behaviors of other humans, but doesn’t exhibit it. The difference between beast and human intelligence is the density of the neural circuitry that exists in their brains. For a beast intelligence to replicate the behavior they see, it means between their eyes and their appendages, there exists a straight neural-nerve connection. Most human minds, on the other hand, are tangled into elaborate knots, making it very difficult for observed behavior, that exists outside its mental model, to be responded upon.

We simulate this type of intelligence by assigning the AI entity with a simple identity, just its name, "Demon". This value serves as its entire mental model.

The Mosaic component represents the demons sensory input, simplified to a single input. Its Memory component represents its current mental storage. The Motion component represents the neural-nerve connection between its mind and its appendages and the Mirage represents the next frame of view.

Within a normal brain, the neural-nerve connections would be tied with more detailed neural circuits, but because we're starting with a mental model that contains only a single word, we have to label its movements in line with the rhythm of its memory, otherwise a connection can never be made. As the memory model expands from the consumption of new words, the movement labels themselves will mutate in tandem as well.

What the AI sees is the environment labels that is consumed through its current memory structure which mutates the sum of its value according to the Pain Threshold formula, which mimics how and when information consumed from the external environment changes the mind.

The formulas logic conditions the incoming value to determine if its less, more or equal to the current value:

1. If the incoming label value is less than the current word value, the neurons value contracts.
2. If the incoming label value is more than the current word value, the neurons value expands.
3. If the incoming label value is equal to the current word value, the neurons value is sustained.

The purpose of measuring the incoming view against what is currently known and contracting, expanding or sustaining the model enables learning itself. Learning is simply defined as the ability to change by reinforcing that new structure with additional supportive structures.

With this approach, we're attempting to construct a system that can translate the environmental structures informed through the demons mental model into meaningful movements that can be chained together into actions that manipulate the environment in ways that make sense to the viewer.
